FALSE ADVERTISING

When I saw this offer late last night, I jumped on it. Wouldn't you?

Then I went to confirm it with Rogers' support, and was told they couldn't find such offer/discount.

Isn't this bait-and-switch, false advertising??

Good day @taitou,

Welcome to the Rogers Community and thank you for your post! We certainly want to get to the bottom of this.

Some exclusive offers are available only via self-serve and may not be accessible to our customer care specialists.

If this promotion was presented to you after logging in to your MyRogers online profile, it should be legitimate.

Have you tried to go through with the price plan change from that platform, by clicking the "Update plan" button since you posted?

Looking forward to your reply!

Hello Tony, I did update it when I saw it, yes it's from MyRogers online profile. Then I went to Rogers online customer service the next day and talked to them, and was told they have no record of what was offered to me and no such discount exists.

Luckily I got a screenshot before I clicked it, and it's no longer in my offer.

Hello
In January I contact chat support to get a device upgrade.
I have pictures to prove our discussion but basically I was told that if I pay $10/month with the edge financing, after 24 months I would keep the device and there wouldn't be anything owed. I accepted these terms and the agent ordered my device.

Now looking at my bill, not only am I getting charged $61 for my device it also states I would owe $293 at the end of the contract.

The original offer was $0/ month for 24 months and this is what prompt me to ask if there was other plan so I wouldn't have a payment at the end because I know edge is a scam and if you have a small crack in your phone they make you pay.

So who do I talk to to honour what was promised to me in writing?
I called and I keep being told there is nothing they can do. This is false advertising and breech of contract

On top of all that I received an email on the same day outlining our agreement, 3 days later new email and little did I know the new contact with the edge Bs in it.

I'm upset and feel I was scammed.

Re: FALSE ADVERTISING

Good morning @Xzofiax,

It pains me whenever I see our customers upset in this way.

Our Upfront Edge financing option requires our customers to either return the device at the end of their term or pay the Upfront Edge fee at the end to keep the device.

Now, if you have a transcript of the conversation in the form of pictures where you were informed otherwise, we can investigate that promise further. We'll need to review the history of your account.

Please feel free to send a private message to @CommunityHelps so we can assist you further. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, you can find out more here.

Regards,

RogersCorey
