Getting Rid of Annoying Ads?

Any ideas for turning off an incredibly annoying "Travel Greece" ad that's playing in the sidebar of Yahoo-Rogers mail every 60 seconds? There's no way to mute the audio track of the ad without muting full computer audio so my only option right now is to close my email tab while I'm using headphones for something else ... which is all the time!

As Rogers customers we are practically paying for this service, so no Ads should be included. What is Rogers doing to provide the expected customer experience with their service?
