Rogers Vacation Suspension of internet - but what still works or doesn't

I'll be travelling for a couple of months and Rogers offers to suspend or put my internet on vacation for $5 a month - a great savings.    It is unclear whether it is cut off 100% or there is a small amount of data.

I want to be able to see / control my Nest thermostat and water sensor for the basement.   Additionally we have some security cameras and a video doorbell.   Do any or all of these work?

I have a friend is in Florida for winter and am looking after his place while he is gone. He has his rogers on vacation hold and I can safely say it is absolutely off 100 %
