Unlock my phone!

SaladGoat
I've been here awhile

I switched carriers two hours ago and my phone is still locked to Rogers. Why? I bought the phone outright, with no wireless plan attached. But Rogers locked it up. Now I need it unlocked and of course they are nowhere to be found. Support site says "24/7" - they must think that means 24 minutes every seven hours....

Unlock my phone!

Rogers is supposed to unlock your phone free. Try this,

I plan to stick around
All phones after December 2017 came/come unlocked!

Yes, it was unlocked when I bought it. Then I put a Rogers SIM card in it and they locked it. Finally was able to "chat" with someone and, after about an hour of back and forth, they were able to unlock it, though they say there is a possibility it will revert to locked in 24 hours. Fun....

I'm sorry to hear about your problem, Rogers reserves the right to modify the 2017 CRTC rulings.

No they don't! The CRTC is the reglatory body, as useless as they are, that Rogers must comply with. Not the other way around.
